Interview conducted by Margaret Cawood at the Confederate Air Force Oral History Center on 6 October 1988. Harwell talks about his training as a pilot in the Air Force and experiences flying for the U.S. Air Corps in the European Theater during World War II in 1942-5. He flew B-26 aircraft for the 344th Bomb Group and tells of near accidents with other American planes.
